Facilitating Intra-Africa Trade
Facilitating Intra-Africa Trade
The African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) is a landmark initiative that aims to promote intra-Africa trade and economic integration. Launched on January 1, 2021, AfCFTA represents a pivotal step towards creating a single market for goods and services on the African continent. It encompasses 54 African Union member states, making it one of the world's largest trade agreements by the number of participating countries.
The Africa Trade Centre serves as an innovative solution that aligns with AfCFTA's goals by providing a user-friendly digital platform for businesses to engage in cross-border trade. It facilitates easy access to AfCFTA benefits, promotes intra-Africa trade, enhances information sharing, boosts economic integration, encourages African innovation, expands market access, and promotes inclusivity. Together, AfCFTA and the Africa Trade Centre work hand-in-hand to advance trade, economic growth, and prosperity across the African continent.
The Africa Trade Centre will also allow African producers and manufacturers to seamlessly connect, collaborate, and trade with one another.
